What works for erectile dysfunction?
There are plenty of treatments for ED, but the most widely used are tablets called PHE5 inhibitors. These work by increasing blood flow to your penis when you’re aroused. You take a tablet just before you have sex. Perhaps the best known type of this medication is sildenafil (Viagra), but your pharmacist will be able to recommend the best treatment for you.
PHE5 inhibitors have a good success rate (about an 8 in 10 chance of it working well). But they’re not suitable for everyone. For instance, you might not be able to take a particular type of ED tablet if you have certain medical conditions or take certain other medicines.
